The best thing to do is simply start using! Connect to the Internet, open some software applications, and begin using the computer - everything from the keyboard to the mouse, the monitor to the software installed on your laptop.
You need to be patient - computer training isn’t accomplished overnight. The best thing to do is use your laptop or desktop on a regular basis.
On Macs vs PCs
Before I go any further, I want to talk a little about Macs vs PCs, Apples vs Windows.
Macs, iMacs, MacBooks, Apple, and so forth are all part of the same company. They use a unique operating system and unique applications. Mac desktops and laptops are generally known to be the best-looking, and also very functional and great for new computer users.
PCs, desktop PCs, laptop PCs, Windows, and Microsoft are all part of the same company. They use Windows operating system, and are known for the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc) suite of applications. They are good for business use and specific professions, as well as hardcore use over time.
Key PC skills you need to have
The basic thing you need to learn about computer training is how to turn on and off a computer. Theres usually a button to do so, locate it and press it.
The second thing is to learn how to open an application. This happens through the mouse and keyboard. Simply move your cursor over an application like Internet Explorer and tap twice on the mouse.
The final thing you need to learn is how to connect to the internet. Great applications include Firefox, IE, Chrome, and so on.

Computer training careers pay well - the hours are flexible, it’s not an office job, and you work closely with people. However, training in computers is tough and can take a long time to get the necessary certifications before you’re qualified to help others.
